Hastoe is joining other rural housing associations in shining a spotlight on Rural Housing Week 2020 by celebrating the completion of our newest affordable homes and the funding of a range of projects that have benefited local communities over the past 12 months.
Community projects
Every year, Hastoe offers a grants of up to £250 to help deliver community-based projects that benefit our residents and their local communities. In 2019-20, we supported 13 projects and this year we hope to fund even more. In line with our commitment to the environment we will give special consideration to ideas that relate to protecting wildlife or preserving green space.
New homes
Over the past year, we have continued to work closely with communities, councils and a range of other partners to build almost 40 new homes for local people. We completed seven homes in Guestling, East Sussex, 18 in Lavenham, Suffolk, and a further 14 in Burwell, Cambridgeshire.

We are now on site and in the process of building a further 35 homes; 12 in Pamber, Hampshire, four in West Wratting, Cambridgeshire, 10 in Widegates, Cornwall, as well as converting a historic Southwold cottage hospital in Suffolk into a community hub and nine homes.
