Hastoe has this week signed up to the CIH Shared Ownership Charter, which highlights the benefit of shared ownership as an affordable housing option and makes a public commitment to champion and raise awareness of shared ownership homes.Shared ownership is and increasingly important route for many households to realise their aspiration to own their own home. It has received significant investment from government in recent years, with the challenge to deliver up to 135,000 new homes.

Hastoe Head of Sales Michelle Rook-Dawson said: “By signing up to the Charter, Hastoe has made a promise to continue providing the highest quality service we can to our shared ownership customers.

“House prices in the rural areas we operate in are simply out of reach for many young local families, with the average rural property costing 11 times the average rural salary. Shared ownership is just one of the affordable housing options that we offer to help support those in rural communities in need of an affordable home.”
