On Thursday 17 August representatives from Arun
District Council, Hastoe and Brymor Construction attended a
handover ceremony in Bognor Regis, the site of the latest council houses to be
built in Arun. Hastoe acted as the council's development agent and has played a vital role in providing these new homes.
The homes are located off Clarence Road in the centre of Bognor Regis and consist of two four-bedroomed houses. It's the second release of properties this summer, the first phase of council homes to be built by Arun since 1989. The Council is building a total of 33 new affordable homes which will be available for rent over the forthcoming months.
Built
by Brymor Construction, the two new homes will be let to people on the housing waiting
list. The properties will be added to the Councils housing stock in order to
replace some of the homes that have been sold under the Right to Buy.
Hastoe
Housing Association Development Manager Javed Ditta said “Hastoe are delighted to have helped play a
role in delivering these new high quality, affordable homes for the people of
Arun who need them most.
“Our
role has included arranging pre planning site investigations, securing planning
consent for the Council and monitoring the performance of the selected
contractor to ensure the new homes are built to a high quality for the new
residents.”
