Hastoe achieves Leaders in Diversity status

12/06/2014
Hastoe has been awarded ‘Leaders in Diversity’ status and is one of just six housing associations in the country to have achieved this.

Leaders in DiversityThe accreditation, from the National Centre for Diversity, has been achieved by just 25 other organisations in the whole country.

Fiona McPhail, Investors in Diversity Advisor, said: “This is one of the most uplifting organisations that I have worked with. From the outset there was a real commitment to the process and I encountered real enthusiasm from staff across the organisation and from external stakeholders.  Hastoe is an organisation with inspirational leadership, with staff who told me how proud they were to work there.

“Hastoe showed a will to do this well and for the right reasons - it was not just about making a difference for their own organisation, but about disseminating the process across those they work with and influence. This is an organisation which puts its hand out to take others with them and recognise that this is not a journey with an endpoint, but a process of ongoing reflection and continuing improvement.”

Solat Chaudhry, Chief Executive of the National Centre for Diversity, said: “Achieving Leaders in Diversity is a demonstration of the deep rooted commitment of Hastoe Group and we congratulate all your staff and stakeholders.  We look forward to working with you as you continue your journey.”

Sue Chalkley, Chief Executive at Hastoe, said: “We are thrilled to have been awarded the Leaders in Diversity status by the National Centre for Diversity. This achievement is testament to all staff here and underpins the Hastoe ethos and values. After all, this award isn’t just about national recognition; it’s about the way we do things at Hastoe, both for our residents and for colleagues.”
